I'm on my 9th pair of supernova glide boost and I've never had an issue until this version. i have ran countless km in previous versions but this version gives me blisters on the sole of my feet ( I never get any sort of blisters ). Obviously not on shorter distances only when it's over the 30km mark. It's not the socks as I also never change the type of sock. I'm a marathon runner so I'm a bit surprised, something has changed with the shoe.
I love Stella McCartney's line of clothing and shoes. I already two pairs of Barricade, and wanted a pair of black ones. I ordered the same size as my other shoes, and they fit perfectly. Good support, and love the "Stella McCartney" detail at the back. Shoe laces stay tied, and don't get loose, no need for double knot. This isn't a shoe made specifically for tennis, like the Barricade, but I still played on the court with them, and felt secure in a fast paced game.
Very light on your feet and great grip, but still attracted a ton of mud when racing through a ploughed field but can't see any other shoe not doing that, really pleased with my purchase so will be getting another pair to save
Have just purchased my 4th pair of Supernova Glide Boost shoes. I keep going back to them for my long run option. As a 200 pound plus runner I find they provide excellent cushioning, and they fit my feet very well. (I have medium width feet.) The third pair that I own is over 500 km of mostly asphalt running and there is a little wear on the heal so I would say the Conti soles stand up well to lots of mileage. Where my big toe contacts the upper I can see that there is starting to be some wear, however this is my typical pattern with all running shoes so I wouldn't consider this a deficiency. What else can I say? I like how they feel on my feet when I run and I am looking forward to crushing out another 800 km or so on pair number 4 once I have used up pair number 3:) My only constructive feedback would be that Adidas should expand the options for colours of their miAdidas in these shoes. Would make them even more fun!
These are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn, so much so that these are my 3rd pair!! I have narrow feet and so these fit me perfectly with no need for additional footbeds etc. Having owned 2 other pairs I also knew to go 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size. The wear levels are good also, I have a gear tracker on my fitness App and did 680KM in my last pair of Ultra Boost. Would highly recommend these to anyone.
I'm finding adidas shoes to be getting narrower the last few years, and the adistar glow is no exception, so recommend going half a size up to get the right width. Once I worked this out, they are very comfortable and fairly supportive shoes, preventing my feet from rolling in too much. The extra half size does make the ball of my foot bounce around a tad more though, and arch support is minimal unfortunately, an area I hope they address in the future. I'm about 200km of jogging into them (primarily on asphalt), and there is only slight wear on the soles so far, and the upper is still mint - great durability given I'm no lightweight. The grip of the Continental rubber is astounding also. I'm overall very happy, and will definitely go for the same again in the future.
I normally fit a size 10 and have a narrow foot, but based on a previous experience, ordered 10 1/2 which fits perfectly. They look great but have I not had much opportunity to try them out fully, however, so far so good.
Shoes are well built. Light yet solid. Sole is firm enough so you dont feel every little bump in the the trail, yet just the right amount of cushion to make them balanced. I have wide feet, and the toe box is quite roomy, more so than the previous generations of the shoe. Great shoe for the $$, very happy
Ordered a womens US size 7 cause that's what I am in all of my Adidas sneakers. These ones were a touch too long, Really comfortable but felt that little bit too big. Ended up exchanging for the US 6.5, a little more snug all round, with a bit of wear have stretched to be perfect. Both sizes were good, size & more comfortable, but I hate when my sneakers are too long and goofy feeling!
Returned as were 1/2 size too big. I purchased a size 10 as I have the energy boost in a 10 and they fit perfect. Also colour looked blue in pics but were more of a purple colour. Nice easy return process.
The upper is ok, reasonably light and doesn't retain water. The sole is durable rubber that provides a lot of grip, I ran on slippery wooden boards and found grip. Downsides are : size, I had to go up half a size from traditional Adidas sizing (though this brings its sizing more in line with most other manufacturers). weight, as a forefoot striker the weight is mostly at the rear of the shoe in a load of cushioning I rarely use. The cushioning in the forefoot is misleading as this shoe has not been designed with midfoot or forefoot strikers in mind and just slows us down. I'll keep the shoe now as a winter plod along trainer and throw it after 100 miles - 5 done so far.. as I've worn it outside. Recommend this as a good shoe for stubborn heel strikers.
I bought these shoes about 5 months ago and they have been really good. I work on my feet all day running back and forth (I'm a valet) and they are really comfortable! My only complaint with them is they have already developed a hole on the tops of them where the mesh material connects to the toe. I work about 50 hours a week or more.
First of all, I'm an overpronator with wide (2E) feet; I have generally found that most Adidas shoes fit me well and have therefore been a return customer. A friend of mine who worked at The Athlete's Foot recommended the Adistar SS13 energy boost when they first launched back in 2012 (?), since then I have continued to wear Adistar boost shoes to train, gym and run in. I found that on of the previous models (FW13) my foot was to wide across the forefoot and the seamless join blew out in two pairs (in the same spots); the boost glow's have remedied this with superior seam welding and less flexible but more durable material. Whilst initially this stiffer material made 'wearing-in' these shoes a little bit more of an uncomfortable process, I can safely say that they eventually stretched and shaped to my feet. Playing Australian Rules Football where there is a lot of lateral explosive movements, I have found these shows to be incredibly durable and ridiculously comfortable - day after day! It never ceases to surprise me just how comfortable they are each time I put them on! The Continental rubber soles wear like previous models - reasonably quickly - which is the only negative comment I can make. I'm generally a US10.5 in all Adidas shoes but had to go up half a size to a US11 as the guy was a bit too snug with the denser materials. I'm not a 'runner' as such but do manage to clock up a few km's between football training and the gym/treadmill; these shoes have been incredibly reliable and I feel quite safe and locked-in around the ankle. I cannot recommend these shoes highly enough, in-fact, I swear by them so much that I've ordered another two pairs. I never feel at risk of rolling my ankles or the shoes failing me as they are so sturdy and supportive. Do yourself a favour and run in boost - no other cushioning system comes close to matching their superior technology. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like these shoes and they feel comfortable. I've worn them all day long and while power walking. You hardly know you have tennis shoes on because they are so comfortable. The eight was a tad too big for me but I didn't want to send them back. Love these shoes!
Having previously had the original boost trainers which i got on very well with but wore them out!. I was looking for something similar and these ultra boosts are the next step up. The bounce back from road impact was very good and the sock fit feels secure around your ankles but still have freedom within the foot area. normally i would go for a short run out in a new pair of trainers but did a 10mile great south run in them and they felt great. oh and the bright yellow edition is eye catching
These shoes are very comfortable, the first time you wear you feel like you are walking on air. The style is great, however the boost material gets dirty very easily and is next to impossible to clean.
I have owned Adidas shoes in the past and they generally tore my feet to shreds so I gave the brand a very wide berth until I took a chance on these shoes. I've run over 700km in these shoes and they are still in great condition and are not giving me any problems at all. When I first used the shoes the rubber soles were a bit slippery on the pavement, but after about 50km of running this problem disappeared. I used them during a half marathon which was carried out over roads and bush trails, during a heavy storm. Tracks were flooded, all surfaces were wet, trees had been blown down, and everything i was wearing got soaked. Apart from one very slippery section (clay downhill), the shoes performed very well and remained comparatively light. I highly recommend these shoes
They do come up on the large size, I have a 4.5 in the boost range and got a 4 in these but with correct lacing they didn't slip on their first outing. Felt just the right grip as I ran around parkrun (never felt stable in road trainers and wasn't sure whether it was worth spending on trail shoes, so glad I did) don't think I could justify the full price for occasional use but an absolute bargain in the sale, happy customer here!
The Ultra Boost is truly revolutionary. The combination of the primeknit upper and the boost sole make the shoe so comfortable and the design is so versatile it works with a lot of outfits. Highly recommend this product!
Needed to replace another pair of running shoes that I normally wear for running on concrete. (I had a pair of the original cc rides that were my favorites, but they started to tear apart after so many miles). I saw these Energy Bounce shoes at the Adidas outlet in Las Vegas a couple of months ago and they had a great sale on (an extra 30% off already discounted merchandise), so I happily grabbed a pair before I flew back home. Very comfortable and I love running in these shoes. They look MUCH heavier than they are, have great cushion on concrete and the "bounce" technology does a good job returning energy to your strides. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I ran in these. They don't look fancy, but I'm glad I got a pair because they're my go-to running shoes now!
I have wear mine 7 TR for both trail running and hiking. It is a good fit for my wider feet that usually need to wear EE or 1/2 bigger. The cushion is on the thin side so you won't get the comfort ride if you prefer it. However, the tracking is good and you stand in low that yield good stability. A little break in is necessary but not excessive. I will go for a more cushion model for longer trail running or hiking. Running 30 minutes in it (or 4-5 miles hiking) it works perfectly fine for me. At that point I start sense a little fatigue on my feet that need a break before getting sore.
I've been wearing this shoes for over 3 months for running. I normally do 5K for 2-3 days a week. It's the most comfortable shoes I've got. I now wear it to walk to work as well because my other shoes is not as comfortable as this one. Highly recommended.
Perfect trainer for everyone. If you have narrow feet then the trainers are true to size (tts) or if you have wide feet then go half a size up for the perfect fit. Don't worry if they're tight at first because they stretch to the mould of you foot.
I purchased these and a pair of Glide. I found the response a bit bulky comparied to the glide. There was little repsponce to them, for a little bit more money, I would recommend Glide which are a lighter weight.
Amazingly comfortable fits like a sock its the best purchase i have made in a very long time. its a more narrow fit than the tubulars and the boost technology gives a great cushioned feel when you walk or run
