Truly water proof!

Fits true to size or even a bit slightly large. Not sure where the runs small reviews have come from. My feet were sliding around a bit more than usual- I will need to figure out a lacing method to keep it from happening more. I believe ordering half a size down would be too small for the purpose I ordered them for. I ordered a size 10 and wear a 9.5-10 in all shoes. I prefer a normal to wide shoe and feel as if these fit well in the width category. It really is water proof! I ordered them purely for the gore-Tex feature and hoped it would be worth it. I have only worn them once and wear them for coaching and not running. The rain had stopped, but the field was drenched, covered in mud, and included many deep puddles around the perimeter that I had to go in. I was very pleased that my feet stayed completely dry the entire time. I highly recommend for the gore-Tex alone if you’re looking to keep your feet dry. A game changer for me during the season for sure. I only gave 4 stars and not 5 for any category because I haven’t seen how well they will hold up long term and how they work when it is still raining. Now to work on getting them to fit a bit more snug.... ... read more

Running shoe with support, cushion, grip and durability

Honestly my favorite shoe I've ever owned. It's great for running on trails and road. Waterproof yet breathable. Not sure how they do that part. Durable but not heavy. Great cushion and support. The best of the best. ... read more

good sneaker - but not for the wider feet

I bought the pair for longer walks in slippery frozen pre/post-winter season in finland. the sneaker is good quality (it does have a good grip and keeps my feet dry), but after walking a couple of blocks i start feeling the pressure on my metatarsals REALLY strong (note: I did buy it one size bigger so i could wear thicker socks-turns out i can't). Later it develops into nasty blisters after walking a bit over 1km. I have pretty thin feet and certainly not so wide, so this might be a defect? Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it unless you go for a couple sizes bigger. :( ... read more

Good grip on gravel roads

My first 2 runs in these were on flat bike trails and I found them comfortable, had no issues but didn’t think they were amazing either. My next run included a steep gravel road and they came into their own on the downhill with excellent grip. They seem to have enough cushioning while still allowing me to feel what’s underfoot, which I like. ... read more

Heavy, rigid and uncomfortable

Well, the quality of these shoes is good- they are made to last and are waterproof. My size is 8.5 wide because of the bunions. I got these shoes in size 9. 5 in order to wear in colder months with extra thick socks and some inserts. Even in 9.5 i feel these shoes touching and rubbing the sides of my feet. They felt like heavy weights attached to my legs, while i was trying to jog in them. The reason I give these shoes 3 starts, instead of 1 is that they are new and possibly get better with more wear. Plus, they are water proof. ... read more

These are great trainers. They do come up small but I bought half size up and they are fine. They are a little on the narrow side across the metatarsals so a very broad foot might not suit. For me they fit well and feel great running on uneven surfaces. Recommend. ... read more

It's still early days, but so far so good.

I've worn them 6 times for runs, which are mainly off road, but with a small distance on tarmac. So far, I'm delighted. My feet have stayed warm and sry. the trainers are lightweight and comfortable. The styling is clean with little fuss and no unnecessary detail. I like the coating which covers the front of the toes, adding an extra layer of protection where I need it most. These are the most expensive Goretex trainers I've ever bought and to be fair, it's how they're performing in a year's time that will influence whether or not I buy another pair recommend them to others, but so far I'm delighted. The reason why I say this, is that my previous waterproof trail shoes (circa£100) both split after one wintering I'd really expect to get at least 2 seasons out of a decent pair of running shoes. ... read more

Great outdoor shoe

I Love the Boost sole and was hoping that these outdoor shoes would be a good fit for my problem feet as I only wear Adidas Boost/Ultraboost shoes however I found these to be too tight across the widest part of my foot and I even tried going up a size. They looked great & I really wanted them to fit but unfortunately they run a little too narrow for my foot. ... read more

Too Narrow and uncomfortable.

Beats the muddy trail tracks

I wanted a sneaker that can be worn during the lovely autumn/winter weather in the UK when walking my dog through our local forest aka mud pit becomes a sliding hazard. They have been keeping up fine so far. No wet feet, no sliding down the hills so far and much more comfortable than my wellies. Regarding the fit, they feel a bit rigid. It is important that you tie them securely, otherwise, it's painful when the foot slips around. Plus I needed them a 1/2 size bigger than my usual shoe size. ... read more

Great outdoor shoes !

First used last weekend for hiking. These were perfect in all terrains: rocks, water, mud, flat soft soil or even slippery wet wood bridges. My feet were very well protected and i felt confident in all "terrain challenges" because of their good grip. My old hiking shoes just found the way to the bin as these are now my favourites. I would recommend to purchase 1/2 size bigger than usual as they fit smaller. Great innovative design, nice pink/coral colour combination ! ... read more

The quality is amazing! I wanted something lighter than my big hiking boots for the lighter hikes and maybe trail running and they are perfect! They do need a bit of time to break into them properly. Great purchase for my Machu Picchu adventure

I loved this shoe. Just got back from the Galapagos, and Machu Picchu. I hiked the Salkantay Trail for a week in these shoes. This shoe did what I wanted it to do...be lightweight , comfortable and water-proof over loose gravel, mud and shallow water trails . It's not an ankle covered boot, but it was a compromise for the weight that I didn't want to carry in my luggage. ... read more

If you're looking for a great light alternative to hiking boots give these a go

I bought these for an upcoming 4-day winter hike because I hate the weight and restrictiveness of boots and wanted to get more versatile footwear that I could use again in other circumstances (e.g. trail running). I took them out for a short 5k walk to break them in and was amazed that they were comfortable and supportive straight out of the box without any rubbing, stiffness or blisters at all. The walk had steep gravel sections and the grip was great for what is a comparatively rigid sole (compared to regular running shoes I mean). I ordered a half size bigger than my usual running shoes to accommodate the thicker winter hiking socks which was pretty much perfect. They are slightly wider than would be ideal for my feet (but that's more a recurrent problem related to my very narrow feet than the shoes being at fault) but laced tightly and comfortably without slippage. I took them for a 16k hike last weekend and my feet were good as gold at the end. Love them. ... read more

Run your trail, be the fastes, feel the safest, look glamorous

I live in LA and I love running my hiking trails. I used to run in my first edition Adidas Boosts, because they were light and allowed me to keep the high velocity up and downhill. The only problem was the traction, or wether lack of it. So when I saw the TERREX Agravic GTX Shoes and I read about them, I bought them right away. I thought it was a perfect combination I was looking for! I have used them for couple hikes and I think Adidas have made a great job on creating the hike runners. What I liked in the TERREX Agravic GTX: Black/gray/white color combo! They look so fancy! Design is outstanding. Those are actually beautiful shoes (girls can appreciate that shoe doesn't make the foot appearing huge and bulky). The soles "spike" like surface makes them almost glued to the trail and running downhill feels absolutely secure. The hill part is sturdy, so there is no foot wiggling, and no fear to twist an ankle on uneven/loose/slippery terrain. Lightweight. Oh, yeah, those are like feathers. And boost technology makes each stride soft, bouncy and quiet. Excellent for both toe and hill weight distribution. I read previous reviews about toe protection and agree 100% - it's so well designed! I've hit the protruding stones few times, and it was zero impact on my toes. I felt nothing. The laces. Never got untangled. Wouldn't become loose. Just perfect. They are pretty much true to size. I wear US size 8, and my Adidas orders of 8.5 fit perfectly. The TERREX Agravic GTX Shoes are a bit wide in the toe part, but that great for the managing a pressure when running downhill, allows you to "spread" your toes for a better balance. I am sure if one to use it in a water that will give some space for "swollen" socks, or "swollen" feet in a hot hot day. I'd recommend to wear cushy socks with the moisture locks and heat control. Since shoe is designed for rough and tough dusty/wet terrain, the materials provide great protection, but on a hot days you may feel it not that "breathing". Overall - excellent pair. The only issue I've experienced was that the area around tongue and last hole for the lace on my right shoe was a bit too hard and was hurting/picking my outer part of ankle right under the bone. I guess I may wanna wear higher socks with the thicker ankle cover or just run few more times and get the shoe soften on its own. I Highly recommend the TERREX Agravic GTX! Worth every $$$. ... read more

Fast and light, awesome traction in wet and dry conditions.

We actually used the non-GTX version. Nimble heel construction allows the natural reflexology of the foot and ankle to work properly reducing ankle twist and strain. Reduced drop on the Agravic is very comfortable. Toe bumper is perfectly designed. It provides excellent injury preventing protection. Both the tongue design and reduced external skeletal support are extremely comfortable eliminating pressure and contact points. The shoe works with and moves with the foot. The Agravic fast drying fabric is a delight. We appreciate the option of a non-PTFE (non-GTX) shoe. Shoes dry from a river crossing in 1-3 hours. Fast and light, awesome traction in wet and dry conditions. ... read more
