Fantastic running shoes

Great quality, perfect TTS fit for average width feet, superb Boost cushioning, good feel and energy return. Not super lightweight, but barely felt a difference compared to some lighter runners I use, and I've done multiple 10k runs in these with solid results. I'd highly recommend these to anyone, and I'd say they're on par with a lot of more expensive options. ... read more

Wore all previous Adizero Adios - here had to size-down by 1/2 a size and replace the harder insole in the 4s with a trimmed softer one from old 3s!

I have worn Adizero Adios since 'the beginning' and each change in version has been easy to get on with. So far with Version 4, whilst it seems (PROS) lighter and more aesthetically pleasing, (CONS / WORKAROUNDS) I have had to order a UK half size smaller than previously in the end, otherwise I was not getting the usual snappy toe-off response. I also initially found that the insole in the 4 is too hard for me and had too much arch support and almost felt like it was verging on the orthotic. This was easily remedied when I changed this and put in an old insole from one of my 3s (and trimmed down its toe slightly to fit). I am still not that happy about the way that the fabric flexes on the forefoot and creates scratching / pressure - inner forefoot - where I don't normally have trouble with either my road or other trail running shoes. It seems like very careful lacing pressure set-up is key in managing this. However I am sufficiently worried that in my particular case (and I do not have 'weird feet') that I may not get used to these in time for the London Marathon, that I have just emergency purchased what seems like one of the last few remaining pairs of the previous version in my size 'just in case'. This is meant to be a realistic review listing my workarounds and concerns for anyone in a similar position to me. Hope it helps! ... read more

Great trainer..good running shoe!!

Arrived sooner than expected which was great..the trainer is great, super comfortable to wear casually or for running which is what I used them for..only negative thing I’d have to say is that after one ten mile run the continental grip had wore down a bit on the back..apart from that I’m delighted with the Adidas solar boost! ... read more

long lasting cushioning

Nice soft but responsive cushioning, great fit on the upper. Boost seems to be the only cushioning that doesn't flatten out and die after 100km. Initially found the toe box a bit tight for my wider than average feet but they break in nicely after the first run and the fit is spot on. Bought a second pair because they were on sale but still heaps of life left in the original pair. ... read more

Pretty good

I found myself buying some Adios 4s when there weren't any Sub2s in stock, needless to say, I'm not disappointed with my decision. The Adios feels great to race in. The width was a bit narrow in comparison to the Sub2 (I have Wide feet) but I'm sure they'll break in after a few more runs. As expected the Adios is slightly more plush and heavier than the Sub2 which is more responsive and Light. Personally, I would enjoy the Adios just as much as the Sub2 if it was slightly more wide around the middle to the toe area and maybe shaving a bit more weight (some lightweight trainers from other brands had similar weights) however its pretty lightweight as it is. Overall I recommend this shoe to people who have pretty average feet. ... read more

Great Running shoes

Very good running shoes for 10K or more. I have used them for more than 6 months. Not the fastest due to the great amount of boost but very comfy for my regular training (3x per week). The level cushioning is between the Ultra Boost and the Adios 1- Excellent cushioning: Good transition heel-forefoot. 2- Wider sole than the previous models (Boost Energy 1, 2 & 3)with good arch support: Very good connection to the ground and very stable. Good for neutral or light pronator runners. 3- Very Good locking system: with the lacing system, your foot in well maintained in the shoes. 4- Breathable knit 5- Good traction on all terrains Too be clear..Running Best boost I have had so far. The shoes run true to size (meaning same size as all my adidas running shoes so far = Boost Energy 1, 2). The only thing I regret is that, even though the sole durability is still OK, Continental seems to make less durable rubber compared to the previous models... Merci Adidas!!! ... read more

A superb running experience. The best shoes I ever had.

I broke my own record, with these shoes. I am ready to break more records. Too extra space inside would not be good because it would make it slower. Although it might seem a bit too tight initially, it will become completely normal after wearing it for 30 minutes. Do not select a size larger than your normal. I prefer to use these shoes for competition, and I use an other pair for the gym and walking. But keep in mind that these shoes will help keep your feet injury free in all cases. ... read more

Very good but a little tight around mid foot

The Solar Boost is more responsive than the Ultra Boost I always run in but unable to find the correct lace up combination yet. Tight across the mid foot can cause some discomfort. Excellent shoes for running

Overall for long distance running the shoes provide good contact from the ball of your foot and the padding from the boost material. This makes running comfortable and easier on the knees as well as on the sole of the foot. A downside however is that i find the back of the shoe a bit too short and sometimes worry my foot my slip out . ... read more

Fast shoe

I love Adidas Adios line, but if I am completely honest I prefer the adios 3 although it was smaller fitting I felt it was more comfortable upper. The Adios 4 great fast shoe but has caused me to have blisters in my arch, also thing toe box is too roomy. Same brilliant sole but upper is a downgrade compared too adios 3 in looks and comfort ... read more

Great runner, but is it worth the cost?

After recently getting into running, I quickly found myself looking for a pair of comfortable and quality running shoes. I can say without a doubt that this shoe is perfect for running and while doing 10 - 15 km runs every other day; the comfort of the shoe hasn't at all been impacted and the shoe itself hasn't caused any aches or pains. My only concern is that my pair is already showing signs of damage; although this is to be expected to some degree, after only about 200 total kilometers of running, the amount tearing or ripping in the boost sole on the bottom of the shoes under the heel is quite alarming. Overall, it's a great shoe and I would recommend it any day of the week. ... read more

Great distance runner

Perfect road running shoe. Incredible grip. Snug fit. This boost is pretty firm and that's a great thing. The cage has a strong hole in mid foot. Only flaw is that it doesn't vent or breath well. Got it 7 days ago and have 50 miles on the shoe. ... read more

Unbearable pain

Extremely disappointed. Where the tongue and bridge support meet the stitching is essentially plastic and bruised the bridge of my feet. The upper feels soft when you try it on but unbearable after a few miles. Wanted to enjoy the soft boost sole but ended up walking home in the cold. Ran Edinburgh marathon in Adios Boston’s and entered for Paris looking for more support. Resided to buying a pair of “proper” running shoes from another brand. Ugly but at least they do what they were made for. ... read more

A great shoe

The Solarboost is probably the most comfortable running shoe I have used so far. The only issue and it is a small one is that the tongue can sometimes feel uncomfortable on the top of your foot. But for overall support and comfort they are very good. I am recovering from an injury sustained during running and the cushioning in the sole has been most welcome not only on the gentle runs I have been doing but generally to reduce shock to the knee. I would highly recommend them. The available colours and the look of the shoe are, I think, really stylish I have the light blue with orange bits which works well. I ... read more

Great update to the world’s best running shoe

This shoe has always been my number 1. I religiously repurchase it, but with this updated 4th version it’s really been taken to another level. Fit and finish is top notch, and though it certainly wasn’t broke, adidas have even managed to update it to feel fresh, but without losing anything from the previous models. Love it. ... read more

Comfortable walking shoe with good arch support and tread.

I am replacing same shoe in an updated model. Good qualities:, good arch support, solid thick tread, runs narrow so men's sizes fit my long women's foot. Not so good qualities: in old version - lining wore out too quickly, in new version - new elastic bands over arch pull a little too tightly over arch. ... read more

Ripped in multiple places for no reason

Very disappointed, expected a lot from these shoes, my last four pairs of running shoes have all been from adidas, these solar boosts ripped within a month in multiple places, and I know that I take care of my shoes. The rips are in the same places on both shoes so it is not me. Appalling considering they cost me £140, I not sure if my shoe had defects but I will think twice before buying another pair of running shoes form adidas ... read more

Thin sole with not enough flexibility and sole depth to cushion impact on the ball of the foot and heels

Compared to adidas's best running, shoe which is the "UltraBoost All Terrain", the entire sole on the "Solar Boost" model is made of far less flexible rubber, therefor feels very stiff. It's also not thick enough to absorb impact on the ball of foot and heels. ... read more

As expected a very narrow fit for my wide feet so had to size up.

The latest version of my "go to" training shoe. Initial thoughts after 50 or so miles and one long run (20 miles) is that they are little different to the Adios 3's. Perhaps even narrower and the upper is lighter but a litte stiffer I think. Looking forward to trying a primeknit version. ... read more

Best pair of running shoes I've ever owned

The Solarboost running shoe are easily the most comfortable and best-performing pair of running shoes I have ever owned. I have tried the Ultraboosts as well, but the forged mesh upper of the Solarboost gives a bit more support in my experience. The flexibility and active response of the boost midsole provides a very comfortable running experience and it legitimately feels as though it propels you forward as you put more energy into your stride. The rigid heel pieces really hold your foot down inside the shoe while keeping the rest of the shoe flexible. ... read more

Best Adidas Running Shoe

By far the best adidas running show I have tried. I previously have worn the Ultraboost ST (too heavy) and the Ultraboost uncaged (not enough cushion for me) and these outperform both.
