I would love this shoe . . . so much potential

The shoe fits like a glove and is very comfortable with one exception . . . right in front of the laces, on the inside of the shoe is a seam that hits the top, right side of my left foot (left side of my right foot) - I wore the shoes around the house for a day and on day 2 I noticed it was very uncomfortable like a piece of plastic was rubbing against the top of my foot. When I took the shoe off, I had a very red, visible red mark - there is no way I could run in these. I wanted to love this shoe, the sole is great, the fit is great (runs just a bit large in length but not too much). This would be a great performance shoe if they could fix that one problem. ... read more

Another fab boost running shoe

Straight out of the box, these were incredibly comfortable on my first run. In fact I forgot I was wearing new shoes. I’m a big fan of Ultraboost, but the Solarboost reviews were so good, I thought them worth a try. I was not disappointed. Probably as much bounce as the Ultraboost but with the extra boost sole under the forefoot, the ride is very stable and supported. I followed other recommendations and ordered a 1/2 size larger than my usual- this was good advice as they are a perfect fit. The wider forefoot area might not be ideal for someone with a narrow foot, but I found it perfect. The only reason I didn’t give full marks was there was lots of evidence of glue between the upper and the boost sole. I’ve not noticed this before in my Adidas shoes (although is my first pair of black shoes). Hopefully they will be as durable as my previous pairs. I look forward to many hours out running in them! ... read more

Great shoes if you've got the right size

Runs at least 1/2 size small. I normally wear an 8, but they were too tight across the forefoot. My toes also rubbed against the piece around the toe box. Will try getting an 8.5. Otherwise the colour is very nice and vibrant. ... read more

Bring back the old Energy Boost

Looking for a replacement of my old energy boosts (2 generations ago) and thought Solar Boost was a contender. What a disappointment. The toe box continues to be too wide on these newer models although oddly is narrow in the wrong places and rubs against my second smallest toe. The tongue cuts into my ankle. The placement of the laces. Also puts pressure on the wrong place if you do lock lacing. Wish I hadn't wasted $160 on these...wish I could return them. ... read more

Beautiful, wide but supportive

I've been using the Solarboost trainers for the last 2 weeks in my trainings and I'm impressed by how supportive it is, despite the slightly wider feel - which is unusual for adidas shoes. I particularly like the freedom of movement in tempo runs, while keeping the support. They are beautiful too :) ... read more

Absolutely great product! Sizing and comfort is completely satisfying and the durability of the shoe is amazing! Highly recommend these ‘super’ shoes!

Usually it takes a few wears of a new pair of shoes to feel the full benefits and comfort, but my first run with the Adidas super boost felt like I was running on air - they did not rub or hurt at all. The durable sole is super comfy and highly supportive which makes my running feel more comfortable and I can run confidently. Highly recommend these shoes for long disntnce running; definitely the best pair of running shoes I have ever invested in to date. ... read more

Ultraboost owner which I love. Excited to try this shoe for summer running. Ran in this shoe this am. Tongue is rigid and cut into my shin bone. Cannot run very far in this shoe as the tongue rubs and cuts the skin. Do not buy if you are a serious runner or maybe it will work for someone who does not wear ankle socks. ... read more

Converted to Adidas

Very comfortable, and cushioned as described. Recommend buying these for variety of uses. Completed body attack and the cushioning was just perfect. Also the grip when doing lunges is brilliant, no slipping backwards as happens with so many other shoes I've used. Havent tested them on a long run yet but expect that they will be good for that too. Would definitely recommend purchasing a pair of these. ... read more

Best running shoe since original Energy Boost!

I gambled on these shoes and won. These shoes arrived on the Friday before my 58th half marathon. After trying them on the night before the race, I had a hunch they’d be perfect...and they were. They have the structure of the Energy Boost with the cushion of Ultra Boost. Can’t wait to run more races and make a final decision about whether or not these are Adidas’s greatest running shoes yet (for me, the competition is fierce with the original Energy Boost). Anyone who runs half marathons knows you never wear a brand new pair of shoes on race day. Why would I do something so risky? The osteoarthritis in both my knees had gotten so bad that every step was agonizing. I felt like I needed a shoe with more cushion and greater impact absorption. In addition, I recently had my feet measured with the Fit ID machine and found out my two feet are size 11.1 and 11.5, with one foot being an A width and the other being a 2A. As you can imagine, a shoe for this size foot isn’t easy to find. I ordered a women’s size 12, and the fit is as good as it can be for someone with feet my size. I can always count on Adidas to run more true to size than other shoe brands, which is important when you wear the biggest women’s size available! While my pain wasn’t eliminated during the race, it was minimized compared to running in other shoes. As a result, I’ll probably donate all my other shoes and convert strictly to Solar Boost. I recommend all Adidas fans give these a try, especially all the Energy and Ultra Boost fans out there. This shoe is the perfect blend of the two. ... read more
