They just didn't work for me ...

I wanted to love these! They looked great and felt good, until I was about a mile into my first run. The place where the tongue attaches inside the shoe started rubbing on my middle toes, and ... ouch! I will watch for that in the future! Still love Adidas shoes, just not this style! ... read more

Very Narrow - Very Uncomfotable

I loved the look of these trainers and the sole and arch support is really nice and comfortable. However, despite going up a size they are very narrow and after walking for about 20mins I had pins and needles in my feet. I have tried them three times but the same thing keeps happening. It’s very disappointing but they’ll have to go in the charity donation pile because I just can’t wear them. I normally wear standard fit trainers, I don’t normally have to go to wide fit but these are just too narrow. ... read more

So comfortable I bought two pairs

I’m very picky about sneakers, so let me explain why I love these. First, these are real sneakers. They’re not those pull-on sneakers that are like socks with a rubber sole. These have real tongues but better because the tongue stays in place since there is extra fabric that keeps the tongue from shifting. Secondly, I have slightly wide feet but not wide enough to buy shoes in wide widths and these are wide enough to accommodate “foot splay.” My usual shoe size is 7.5 and I bought these in size 8 which allows for medium to thick socks to fit comfortably. I first got the Mystery Ink (blue) color and wore them straight out of the box for two weeks vacation in Los Angeles. They were so comfortable that when I got back, I ordered the Hi Res Yellow color. There were no pain points at all during those two weeks of wearing them every day. The rubber sole extends wider on the sides than the actual shoe which gives you stabilizing support. Lastly, I do feel air coming through so I wouldn’t wear these if it’s freezing out but I like that there’s actually air circulation inside! The Solar Glide ST checks all the boxes for me. I even like the extra toe guard on these that the regular Solar Glide (without the “ST”) doesn’t have. ... read more

This is the real deal

Having been a longtime fan of the Supernova Glide 8 I feared that the Solar Glide would be closer to the Supernova 9: a good lifestyle/walking shoe and not so much a real running shoe. I was wrong! The Solar Glide is brilliant. The boost midsole is just the right amount and the solar rails appear to work. The continental outsole looks to be longer lasting compared to my Ultra Boosts. ... read more

Not Great for Narrow, High Arched Runners

I love my Ultraboosts, but these don't have the arch support of the boost and the footbed is wider. My feet hurt after running. I wish there was something on the description of the shoe that would help shoppers to know the width of the sole and height of the arch. ... read more

Disappointed

I started to feel pain in my mid upper section of both feet after the couple of 10k runs. Like other reviewers pointed out, the lace stich is too tight and squeezing the mid section of foot. The sole feels great and I could ran faster in them but the pain is unbearable. I need to look for a new pair. ... read more

Left Shoe's Tongue Unbearable!

I have a pair of shoes I cannot wear. Tongue on the left shoe is made too long, it creases and causes a very painful pressure spot on top of my foot. Good support but unevenly made tongue makes it a waste of money. ... read more

long lasting cushioning

Nice soft but responsive cushioning, great fit on the upper. Boost seems to be the only cushioning that doesn't flatten out and die after 100km. Initially found the toe box a bit tight for my wider than average feet but they break in nicely after the first run and the fit is spot on. Bought a second pair because they were on sale but still heaps of life left in the original pair. ... read more

Great for grinding out the daily miles!

As with all of adidas' shoes with the big chunky Boost in the sole they feel great for cushioning you from the pounding of the tarmac mile after mile. They've opted to go for a thin tongue though rather than the soft one I've had on the supernovas, but it hardly detracts from the shoe overall ... read more

So comfortable, definitely worth it!

From the time I tried them on to finally getting a chance to wear them outdoors, I have to say these are one of the best runners I have owned. I have wide feel and have had issues in the past with runners that were too narrow and just not comfortable. These runners have been the total opposite. Fits just right for my wide feet and the are far more comfortable than what I had expected. ... read more

Perfect running shoes

First purchased these shoes from my local running shop after having my gait analysis done. Fit like a glove and so comfortable. Smashed a minute off my park run PB first time a wore them. That good already bought a second pair. Only criticism is the laces come undone whilst running, double knot needed. ... read more

Great Running shoes

Very good running shoes for 10K or more. I have used them for more than 6 months. Not the fastest due to the great amount of boost but very comfy for my regular training (3x per week). The level cushioning is between the Ultra Boost and the Adios 1- Excellent cushioning: Good transition heel-forefoot. 2- Wider sole than the previous models (Boost Energy 1, 2 & 3)with good arch support: Very good connection to the ground and very stable. Good for neutral or light pronator runners. 3- Very Good locking system: with the lacing system, your foot in well maintained in the shoes. 4- Breathable knit 5- Good traction on all terrains Too be clear..Running Best boost I have had so far. The shoes run true to size (meaning same size as all my adidas running shoes so far = Boost Energy 1, 2). The only thing I regret is that, even though the sole durability is still OK, Continental seems to make less durable rubber compared to the previous models... Merci Adidas!!! ... read more

Suprisingly cushy

I've only been on a few runs of around 5 miles, but these shoes are great. They are surprisingly cushy and I love the glove like feel as opposed to a looser show. They have significantly reduced the pain in my bad knee even though I was replacing a nearly new pair of shoes. I have hope they will last longer than other shoes so we'll see. ... read more

Disappointed

Adidas can do better

I've always been an adidas fan. They're shoes look nice, have good support, and are just generally pretty good quality. As a runner, I've purchased several pairs of running shoes from adidas and haven't had an issue... until these ones. I was so excited for these! Unfortunately, when they came, I was sorely disappointed. They are too wide at the toe box, the rubber sole looks like it was made for $0.02 in China and pasted sloppily on the bottom of the cheaply put together shoe, and there is very little support in the foot bed. I'm more of a minimalist runner to begin with but these are a little too minimalist in my opinion. All in all, if this is the quality of shoe I can expect from Adidas in the future, they may have lost a lifelong customer. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone unless you're looking to get a head start on back problems. Adidas, I expected better of you. ... read more

great fit

overall, the solar boosts are great. Bought them for more support for long distances, and while just breaking them in, they seem fine. Perhaps with the seam around the toes I would wear thicker socks than with other shoes, but thats my only complaint. ... read more

Spot on!

I've always ran in Supernova Glide and on seeking a new pair when my old ones got too raggedy, I've been through two pairs of my usual 7.5 sizing and the fit just wasn't right so I gave Solar a go and they're amazing! Super lightweight but really supportive on the sole - and I love the way the tongue hugs your foot, makes for a comfy run! 10/10 would buy again. ... read more

Excellent shoes for running

Overall for long distance running the shoes provide good contact from the ball of your foot and the padding from the boost material. This makes running comfortable and easier on the knees as well as on the sole of the foot. A downside however is that i find the back of the shoe a bit too short and sometimes worry my foot my slip out . ... read more

Falling apart after 1 month

These shoes are super comfy and great to run in. I would highly recommend, except they're already falling apart. The inside of the heel fabric is starting to fray. Great value mileage shoe

This shoe was exactly what I needed - perfect fit and no need to wear in, my first runs were 15, 13 and 20 miles and I had no issues. I have come from the Supernova range, and was slightly worried about the change, especially the heel on the Solar Glide (plastic is cut out) - there was no need to worry, I much prefer all of the changes! I use these shoes for all types of training, and have raced 1/2 marathon in them, a great all rounder. ... read more

Having been a user of boost technology since it began these shoes do not disappoint in anyway.
