Good supportive shoe - not as stable as I thought

Good running shoe - comfortable out of the box with virtually no break-in time required. Upper is a nice material, breathable but holds the foot in place. Cushioning is good for pounding miles on the concrete. Tread is minimal (not for use on trails) but good rubber for pavements. I'm Slightly disappointed by the stability, since these are supposed to be stabilising shoes. They have improved stability over my previous (neutral) Adidas boosts, but not as much as I expected. The primary stability is in the rear and mid-section; none that I notice in the front of the shoe. They look good too, which is an added bonus. Ordered a pair of SolarDrive ST at the same time. Couldn't find a single difference between the two shoes, other than the tread... Just an observation. Kept these as they were the cheaper pair. ... read more

Comfy reliable running trainer.

Super comfy and cushioned with the boost sole. Toe box felt quite wide so at first I felt the size was too big. But the mid foot is held in so snugly that it does not make much difference. I could see it might be too snug if you have wider feet. Mine are average. The weight is a touch heavier than I would have liked but it is in no way a heavy shoe. Just that there are lighter shoes available. The build quality feels good and it feels like it will last. Pretty responsive when you push that pace and feels like it will handle distance well (have only gone to 8 miles in a single run so far). ... read more

Favorite running shoe after initial break-in

When I first put the shoe on, the top of the shoe on the outside rubbed against my ankle and caused pain. After running in them for about 10 miles, the rubbing is no longer noticeable and the shoes are extremely comfortable to run in. ... read more

Amazing shoes

Having used the Supernova's (Glide 9?) a couple of years back, I was pleasantly surprised with it's spiritual successor. The ride is springy without being mushy, and I'm able to pick up the pace without feeling weighted down too much. I actually set a 5km personal best time the first time I ran in these shoes. ... read more

A fine running shoe

Quite comfortable with a soft but compliant ride. Great Continental tread, but we'll see how that holds up with the openings into the cushioning on the bottom. As others stated, on the larger side of standard sizing but I'd prefer that over smaller. ... read more

Great fit, top notch quality, super sleek looks

I've only bought Adidas football boots in the past and usually they are quite snug. Found the same consistency here, opting for a 12 where I may go for an 11.5 in other shoes. Whilst my old non-adidas running shoes were comfy, i would get slight blistering when running any kind of distance. Two trips out in these and no discomfort at all. Have loved the boost range since they came out but have only recently made the leap since i've started running further. I suspect other specialised running brands may compare with these for comfort and performance but it's the looks you get from these as well that really set them apart in my opinion ... read more

Great running trainers

I bought this to replace my supernovas, which I really liked ( I actually had two pairs of them) first the look they are really cool looking trainers ( blue) second they feel lighter that the supernova’s and also more breathable, my only hope is that the big toe part is better reinforced as this is something I struggled with the previous ones, great recovery and long distance trainers . ... read more

Lovely and very comfy

Entry level Boost shoe

I suppose I was spoiled because I owned some of the first models of Boost shoes, before there were different levels of Boost. If you want OG Boost comfort, you have to go with UltraBoost. Everything else has less Boost cushioning and thus, not as comfortable. These are nearly identical to the Response Limited shoes. Depending on what Boost shoes you're used to, these tend to run a 1/2 size big. I wear an 11 1/2 in Pure Boost and the aforementioned earlier Boost models. Even the 11's are a little big in this and the Response Limited. The most disappointing part was calling in to customer service to see if they could tell me if this shoe fit more like Pure Boost or more like Response Limited and they were completely clueless (even that might be an understatement). Shouldn't reps from a shoe company know shoe comparisons? ... read more

The solar glide st by adidas is very comfortable, but a little to narrow in the toe box area. Seems well built.

The design of the solar glide st is very good and the shoe is very comfortable, a little narrow in the toe box area, but the fabric on top stretches well due to the lines cut into the fabric for this reason, and it looks good too this feature. The midsole is brilliant and the continental rubber on the base is very grippy. ... read more

Great Shoe Except for One Problem

I have bought at least six pairs of these shoes and the older Supernova and I really like running in them. I generally get 350-400 miles out of a pair which is a bit more than most other brands and they fit well. But the most recent edition has a design flaw with the upper. Both of my shoes split open along the same "style line" of reduced thickness fabric over the toes after only a bit more than 100 miles. I wish Adidas would go back to the more plain but structurally sound uppers. I really like the shoes otherwise. ... read more

Good shoe but uncomfortable upper

These are overall a comfortable fit in terms of sizing, however the top part of the lacing structure is a very hard material and pushes into your toes when you take a step forward. It basically digs into the top of the toes and prevents you from flexing your foot completely. I would not recommend this because it is painful and the design needs to be changed so that the lacing structure does not extend into the area where the toes are when the shoe bends. ... read more

Nonfunctional Shoe Laces

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes but you have to tie the shoe laces every couple of steps you take. Laces are slippery and come untied all the time. Jumping rope is impossible. I do not like knotting my shoelaces so be prepared to have to spend money on new shoe laces. At the price they charge you, you should not have to spend more cash on laces. ... read more

Supportive and Comfortable

I bought these to use as my long distance shoe. I've been running in the Ultraboost Uncaged for a while and those are great but really don't have enough lateral support for routes with a lot of turns. These fill that requirement perfectly, I can feel the side supports holding my feet in place and they have tons of cushion. Unbelievably comfortable for distance running and they look great too. ... read more

Surprisingly disappointed

Being extensive runner i run between 10-15 km daily , so qualitative running shoes are from high importance for me. I have always been fan of Adidas Boost series (having 3 pairs until totally damaged). So as always I choose Boost again - Solar glide. Unfortunately, left surprisingly disappointed to find the insole of the left shoe is making friction with my arch and causing unbearable pain after the second km (injury appeared). In addition, same shoe has harder pressure feeling on the heel. Two shoes has completely different experience. First product of Adidas i choose and i wouldn't recommend... ... read more

Poor quality

Had these shoes for two months... ran in them about 10 times for a total of 15 miles. Already have holes all around the top by the toe. The design is cool, but all of those lines are weak stitching that pull away with the slightest effort. For the money I spent, I couldn’t be more disappointed. Soured me on Adidas moving forward ... read more

My go to shoe for Marathons.

I recently ran the Chicago Marathon in this shoe and my feet loved the light weight and support delivered by this design. This shoe is a major upgrade from the Supernova ST, a good amount of reduction in weight, slightly lesser support and improved design has made this my go to shoe for the year. I would recommend this shoe over the Supernova ST if you are working on improving your biomechanics, balance and strengthening your calves. ... read more

Good, but not for me

The Glide is a nice shoe. The fit is really nice, the upper does a great job holding your foot in place and the laces are legit- they will not come untied. If you have had issues with shoe laces coming untied in the past, this is a nice relief. The tongue is padded, so the laces don't cut into your foot. The toebox is roomy, but not sloppy. The new heel cup is really great. It uses the cloth material to stretch to accommodate your heel while the area just beside it on both sides provide the stability to lock your foot in place. My issue was with the underfoot. The boost cushion is as good as ever, but there is a bit of stability on medial side of the shoe that I found to interrupt my natural gait. I haven't seen other reviews call it out, but I definitely noticed it on the 3 runs I did in them. Other reviewers have called out that the shoe feels a tad firmer and that is feeling as well, but it does add some performance to it. The shoe is stylish and comfortable, but the way the Glide pushed my foot out was a deal breaker. I replaced these with the SolarBoost and they are incredible. ... read more

Great buy, a quality stability shoe

These shoes are exactly as I expected them to be. They are not as bouncy and overall as comfortable as Ultraboost ST, however I did not expect them to be. They are lighter and have a faster feel to them. They support my feet well. I have had issues with plantar fasciitis and these offer great support. I am able to compete runs without having overly achy feet. The price was good. I would recommend them without hesitation. ... read more

Good for running only

Loved the shoe design and feel but had to return because there was too much cushion in the heel. I’m used to workout shoes with little to no padding so my knees didn’t adjust to the shoe properly but I believe I am a special case. I usually lift/train and only run on occasion so if you run more often then I recommend these shoes. ... read more
